London Heathrow Expands Summer Routes

London Heathrow Airport is set to soar this summer with the addition of six new routes, enhancing connectivity and opening up exciting opportunities for air cargo transport.

Starting from the 31st March, Virgin Atlantic will launch a new route connecting Heathrow to Bangalore, India. This service promises enhanced accessibility for both shippers and importers between the UK and this important market.

British Airways Returns to Abu Dhabi! After a hiatus of four years, BA will resume flights from Heathrow to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The BA 72 recommences service on the 20th April, offering a renewed boon for air cargo logistics.

The UK's flag carrier is also reactivating routes to Kos, Greece, and Izmir, Turkey this summer. These destinations offer fresh opportunities for cargo movement.

With flight levels almost returned to pre-pandemic levels, Heathrow Airport anticipates serving more destinations than ever before. The airport’s expanded 2024 schedule further cements its place as a leading international air cargo hub.
